Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak has successfully defended Bank Millennium against a PLN 185 Million claim by First Data Polska which sought a portion of the proceeds received by Bank Millennium on account of Visa Inc.’s 2016 acquisition of Visa Europe. After a two year litigation, the Warsaw Court of Appeal dismissed the claim in a final and binding judgment.
The case involved a cross-practice team that comprised Prof. Andrzej Szlęzak (Of Counsel), Dr Marcin Olechowski (Partner), Jacek Siński (Partner) and Jakub Urbanowicz (Senior Counsel).
