New Partners in Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak

We are very pleased to announce that as of 1 January 2021 our long-time associates Wojciech Iwański and Andrzej Motyka have been promoted as new partners of Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak.

Wojciech Iwański, Ph.D., advocate, joined SK&S in 2006. His practice focuses on the regulatory aspects of banking, payment and other financial services. He provides expert advice to Polish and foreign enterprises commencing or conducting business in the sector of banking, payment and brokerage services. Wojciech represents our clients in proceedings before the Polish financial regulator (KNF) in relation to acquisitions of Polish regulated companies and other regulated transactions. He advised on numerous regulated outsourcing projects and the implementation of new technologies in banking and payment services, including cloud computing, innovative payment methods and virtual currencies. Wojciech provides finance-related advice to many clients from the automotive industry. In 2015 Dziennik Gazeta Prawna listed Wojciech as the “Rising Star”. He also received an individual recommendation in Chambers FinTech (Band 2) and Chambers Europe Banking & Finance: Regulatory (Up and Coming).

Andrzej Motyka, advocate, joined SK&S in 2008. He specializes in M&A transactions, in particular those involving public companies, and in the capital markets law. He attended to numerous acquisitions of public and private companies in the chemical, food, telecommunication and automotive industries, as well as in FMCG and other sectors of economy. The circle of his clients includes international capital groups and private equity funds investing in Poland, as well as the largest Polish family corporations seeking new strategic investors. His advice is invaluable in multi-faceted corporate disputes among shareholders of public and private companies, as Wojciech represents clients in arbitration and court disputes concerning corporate matters. He also provides advice on mandatory disclosures and compliance obligations to public companies, as well as on mandatory tender offers and disclosure obligations affecting shareholders of public companies. He was individually recommended in Legal500: Commercial, corporate and M&A.
