The Lawyers from SK&S’ competition law department received unconditional approval for the acquisition of the Home.pl by 1 & 1 Internet.

The Lawyers from Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak’s competition law team received the OCCP’s unconditional acceptance for the company 1 & 1 Internet, belonging to United Internet Control, to takeover Home.pl – one of the largest providers of Internet services for small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland.

The OCCP qualified the transaction to the so-called ‘second stage’ of the proceedings, with the result that the OCCP obtained an additional four months to thoroughly examine the case, behaviours, and market research. SK&S’ competition law team showed that the transaction would not restrict market competition. The agreement for this transaction is one of the first that the OCCP has given in the second phase of the concentration proceeding which has been introduced into Polish law less than a year ago.

The client was represented by a team of lawyers from SK&S including Krzysztof KantonMarta Kupczak-Strzelecka and Grzegorz Koguciuk.

Dear Sirs,

We would like to inform you that in recent days, fraudulent emails impersonating our law firm have appeared online. In some cases, these emails include alleged invoices issued by SK&S.

Such fraudulent emails can be identified as they are sent from unusual, unknown addresses that do not belong to our domain. Additionally, these messages are often sent from addresses deceptively similar to those of legitimate senders. We want to emphasize that our law firm has no connection to these emails. All official correspondence from us is sent exclusively from addresses within the domain @skslegal.pl.

We have reported this matter to the Police, specifically to the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime, due to suspicions of criminal activity. Please exercise caution: carefully verify the sender’s address and avoid opening any suspicious emails or attachments. If in doubt, we recommend deleting such correspondence immediately.
